Based in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, courses are held at a variety of venues around North West Leicestershire. Angela, who runs the courses at Conibear's Kitchen was bought up surrounded by home cooking and has strong memories of getting hands on in the kitchen and the garden) from an early age with parents and grandparents.
This passion led Angela to work in the catering industry as a chef for over 15yrs after leaving school. Over the last 10yrs, Angela has also been delivering a wide range of educational programmes to schools and community groups, with strong links to the environment and food growing/cooking. More recently, working for the Soil Association's well reputed Food For Life programme, Angela has been supporting schools to create a positive food culture, with an emphasis on cooking, growing and visiting farms.
With so much uncertainty in the food industry, many consumers are becoming more conscious about what is in the food they buy and where it comes from. Reconnecting people with good food and encouraging them to value cooking good food at home is at the heart of Conibear's Kitchen.
